Appointment of Juliette van de Wiel as salary partner and Maurits Smal as senior associate

With effect from 1 January 2023, Juliette van de Wiel (Restructuring & Insolvency, Corporate Governance and Healthcare & Business) has been appointed salary partner. In addition, Maurits Smal (Property Law and Liability & Contract) has been appointed senior associate.

Juliette started her career at DVDW in 2011. She specialises in bankruptcy law, restructurings and corporate law and is a sparring partner for directors and other stakeholders at companies facing financial difficulties. Juliette is also a trustee in bankruptcies. With some regularity, Juliette publishes on various topics in these areas of law.    

Maurits joined DVDW on 1 May 2019. He has a broad knowledge of contract law and has developed into a sparring partner for entrepreneurs. Maurits has also specialised in administrative and environmental law expertise. As such, he advises and guides investors, owners, asset managers, landlords and tenants, developers, real estate agents, contractors and housing associations on various issues.
